BACOLOD City – Suspected shabu weighing about 210 grams valued at around P2.5 million was seized in a buy-bust operation in Barangay 1.
The 28-year-old resident Jessel Castillo and her live-in partner Ernesto Calatis yielded the suspected illegal drugs around 11 p.m. on Monday, a police report showed.
Calatis – a high value suspect recently released from prison of drug charges – evaded arrest, the report added.
Aside from suspected shabu, a P1,000 marked money was also recovered from the suspects, police said.
Police officers conducted a manhunt operation against Calatis.
Castillo, meanwhile, was detained in the lockup cell of Police Station 2, facing charges for violation of Republic Act 9165, or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002./PN
