ILOILO City – Five men were caught engaging in illegal gambling in Barangay Pulut-an, Pototan, Iloilo.
They were identified as Robert Badoles, 31; John Albert Boliver, 20; Erwin Solis, 35; Romeo Penarandan, 35; and Jonalex Precioso, 46 – all residents of the village, a police report showed.
Police chanced upon them placing bets on a spider fight around 4 p.m. on Oct. 15.
Two spiders, 37 match boxes, four sticks, and P1,320 bet money were confiscated.
The suspects were detained in the Pototan police station’s custodial facility, facing charges./PN
