MANILA – Another commute challenge.
Presidential Spokesman Salvador Panelo took public transportation again – this time via a tricycle.
Panelo on Friday released photos of his tricycle ride, where he can be seen sporting a blue cap with the initials of his official titles as presidential spokesman and chief presidential legal counsel.
He said he was in Bacolod City and that he paid a P10 fare.
Last Oct. 11, the Duterte spokesman went on a nearly four-hour commute challenge that involved four jeepney trips and a motorcycle ride – a “silly acceptance” of left-leaning groups’ challenge for him to take public transportation.
Asked on the experience, Panelo said taking public transportation for him is no longer new since he used to commute during his college days.
“Nothing has changed kasi I grew into riding buses, jeepneys and tricycles,” he said.
“Ordinaryo, kaya nga sabi ko nagkamali kayo ng hinamon, ordinaryo sa akin ‘yan,” he added.
Panelo has drawn flak for saying that there is no mass transport crisis plaguing Filipino commuters and saying that it is simply a traffic problem. (ABS-CBN News/PN)
