ILOILO City – He was caught soliciting bets for the illegal numbers game “bookies.”
The 54-year-old John Padura was nabbed in Barangay Poblacion Ilawod, Passi City around 4 p.m. on Oct. 27, police said.
Confiscated from his possession were P160 bet money and gambling paraphernalia.
Padura was detained in the lockup facility of the Passi City police station, facing charges for violation of Republic Act 9287, or an act increasing penalties for illegal numbers games./PN
