ILOILO City – Police arrested a man for illegal gambling in Barangay Barrido, Ajuy, Iloilo.
The 34-year-old Arwin Anuran of Barangay Central, Ajuy was caught collecting bets for the illegal numbers game “bookies” around 5 p.m. on Oct. 28, a police report showed.
Confiscated from Anuran was P170 bet money, the report added.
The suspect was detained in the custodial facility of the Ajuy municipal police station, facing charges for violation of Republic Act 9287, or an act increasing penalties for illegal numbers games.
