BACOLOD City – A drunken man was stabbed to death in Barangay Tinampaan, Cadiz City, Negros Occidental.
Resident Christopher Penaflor died of two stab wounds on the body, a police report showed.
Police identified the suspect as Penaflor’s 58-year-old second cousin Ricardo Baylon.
According to police investigators, Penaflor was drunk when he punched Baylon on the head during a drinking spree around 7:30 p.m. on Friday.
This prompted Baylon to stab Penaflor using a bladed weapon, police said.
Penaflor was brought to the Cadiz City Emergency Clinic where he was declared “dead on arrival.”
Baylon surrendered and was detained in the Cadiz City police station’s custodial facility./PN
