3 wounded in Molo stabbing

ILOILO City – A stabbing incident in Barangay San Juan, Molo district left three persons wounded.

Residents Christopher Geraga, 44, and Peter Cerveza, 39, were recuperating at the Medical City Hospital in Mandurriao district. They sustained stab wounds on the body.

Leonard Ignacio, 27, also a resident of the village, received treatment at the Western Visayas Medical Center – also in Mandurriao district.

According to police investigation, the stabbing happened after a heated argument ensued between the group of Leonard and Christopher around 8 p.m. on Nov. 17.

Leonard reportedly tried to pacify his elder brother Leo who had a heated argument with Geraga. This prompted Geraga to stab Leonardo on the stomach. Ignacio’s group then retaliated, attacking Geraga and Cerveza.

Officers of the Molo police station have yet to arrest Leo and his companions, who fled after the incident./PN
