MANILA – Three volleyball players from Bacolod Tay Tung High School Thunderbolts are set to bring their talents to Manila. They have committed to play with Enderun College.

Thunderbolts team captain Shane Carmona, Rhean Almendralejo and Erika Deloria formalized their commitment on Friday following a meeting with Enderun school officials.

Carmona, a many-time MVP awardee while playing for Bacolod Tay Tung, told Panay News she was thankful that Enderun took notice of her talents. She looks forward to help the school’s volleyball team.

“My dream was really to play in a UAAP or NCAA school but Enderun’s offer was just too hard to pass up,” Carmona said. “I will apply all I have learned from my (Thunderbolts) coaches here. Hopefully I can help the team move forward.”

Almendralejo, for her part, said she is very much excited to play for Enderun. She promised to fit herself within the team’s system.

“I am happy and excited,” Almendralejo said. “I can assure the school na we will do our utmost best para makilala ang school and siyempre bring ang core values na natutunan namin sa Tay Tung.”

Deloria, meanwhile, considered Enderun’s recruitment of her as a dream come true and promised not to waste the opportunity given to her by the school.

“It is really my dream to play in Manila and I am glad it will now be fulfilled with Enderun,” Deloria said. “It is a prestigious school so I am blessed that they recognize my ability.”

Carmona, Almendralejo and Deloria became the second, third and fourth Thunderbolts to commit to a Manila-based school this week after Joan Marie Monares accepted the offer from the University of the Philippines on Monday./PN
