ILOILO – The Sangguniang Panlalawigan (SP) has approved the P4.080-billion 2020 budget of the provincial government.
The General Fund has a P3.029-billion allocation while for Local Economic Enterprise, P1.060 billion.
Here’s the breakdown of the General Fund:
* general public services (P917 million)
* economic services (P482 million)
* social services (P469 million)
* special purpose appropriations (P1.16 billion)
The 2020 General Fund is P282.417 million higher (9.32 percent) than this year’s General Fund.
On the other hand, the 2020 Local Economic Enterprise fund is 19.74 percent higher (P209.425 million) than this year’s.
The Local Economic Enterprise fund will be derived from 11 district hospitals and one provincial hospital that the provincial government operates. These are the Aleosan District Hospital in Barangay Bancal, Alimodian; Barotac Viejo District Hospital in Barangay San Lucas, Barotac Viejo; Dr. Ricardo S. Provido Memorial District Hospital in Barangay Dalid, Calinog; Don Valerio Palmares Sr. Memorial District Hospital on Alfelor Street, Passi City; Dr. Ricardo Y. Ladrido Memorial District Hospital in Barangay Poblacion, Ilawod, Lambunao; Ramon D. Duremdes District Hospital in Barangay Ilaya 1st, Dumangas; Federico Roman Tirador Sr. Memorial District Hospital in Barangay Jibolo, Janiuay; Iloilo Provincial Hospital in Barangay Rumbang, Pototan; Jesus M. Colmenares Memorial District Hospital in Barangay Tingui-an, Balasan; Ramon Tabiana Memorial District Hospital in Barangay Pungtod, Cabatuan; Rep. Pedro G. Trono Memorial District Hospital on Garriel Street, Guimbal; and Sara District Hospital in Barangay Anoring, Sara./PN
