The love for schoolchildren and the desire to make a difference in their lives inspired the No.1 regional newspaper in Western Visayas to foster its corporate social responsibility this yuletide season. Together with Daniel G. Fajardo Foundation, Incorporated, Panay news team headed by its Chief Operating Officer, Daniel S. Fajardo II, hold once again a gift-giving caravan in the municipality of Pavia, Iloilo. On its 9th year of bringing simple joy to the children, it is a big leap to host 9 development centers of Pavia namely barangay Aganan, Anilao, Purok 3, Mali-ao, Cabugao Sur, Jibao-an, Purok 1, Purok 2 and Paul Learning Center held last Nov. 28, 29 and Dec. 4, 2019.
In addition, Panay News is also an advocate of clean and green environment through recycling, each development centers received recycled ink cans for waste segregation and coin-bank made of cardboard tube of newsprint rolls handcrafted by staffs of Panay News. Part of the program is to introduce the habit of proper waste disposal for clean environment and reminding the parents and children to save for their future. It was also highlighted during the speech of Panay News COO that child development center is the first formal stage of education, that there is a need of strong support for a good educational foundation because this is the first stage of learning, socialization and good value formation.
