ILOILO City – Police have yet to identify the motive in a hacking incident in Barangay Lipata, Barotac Viejo, Iloilo.
Monday’s hacking sent 63-year-old Erlino Elocindo to the Western Visayas Medical Center in Mandurriao district.
Elocindo, a resident of the said village, sustained hack wounds on the left shoulder, arms and head, police said.
The suspect was identified as Denis Ganancial, the police added.
Ganancial was arrested after the incident that happened around 8 a.m. on June 10.
Elocindo was talking with his neighbor outside their house when Ganancial allegedly attacked him.
The suspect was detained in the lockup cell of the Barotac Viejo police station, facing charges./PN
