JUDY Ann Santos was named as the Best Actress for her lead role in the film “Mindanao” during the Gabi ng Parangal of the Metro Manila Film Festival 2019!
Aside from Juday’s recognition, “Mindanao” also won 10 other awards:

- Best Director – Brillante Mendoza
- Best Float
- Gender Sensitivity Award
- Best Child Performer – Yuna Tangog
- Best Sound
- Best Visual Effects
- Gatpuno Antonio J. Villegas Cultural Award
- FPJ Memorial Award for Excellence
Last month, “Mindanao”also bagged awards at the 41st Cairo International Film Festival. The film received the Best Artistic Contribution award, while Juday received the Best Actress award. (Cosmo)
