LEON, Iloilo – Buncag-SLR and Jiggy’s Angels reached the finals of the Gov. Toto Defensor Jr. Open Invitational Volleyball Cup 2019 after disposing their semifinals foes on Saturday at the Leon Multi-Purpose Covered Gym here.
Buncag, which was spearheaded by Glaudine Trongcoso, DM Demontaño and Jackie Estoquia, defeated the University of San Agustin Eagles squad.
The Jiggy’s Angels of head coach Jiggy Gallo, meanwhile, ousted the Negros Maddyline in the other semis game behind the efforts of Princess Tumayao.
The championship match as well as the battle-for-third place game is still being played as of presstime last night.
Meanwhile, reaching the semifinals round in the men’s category were Osveta Sr, Navigator 2, Navigator 1 and Osveta Pioneer.
