ROXAS City – A village councilman who was shot to death here on Jan. 7 has sustained 34 entrance and exit wounds, according to Lieutenant Colonel Joe Martin Fuentes, medico legal officer of the Regional Philippine National Police Crime Laboratory.
“Barangay Punta Tabuc ‘kagawad’ Onel Arandez has a total of 17 bullet entries with one re-entry bullet,” Fuentes told Panay News.
“A total of 17 entries, but since one ang nag re-entry, 16 ka bullets lang ang nag-igo,” he said.
“Six ang igo sa ulo; seven sa body; two sa left arm; ang isa re-entry; two sa left thigh. All (made) a total of 34 wounds. No bullets recovered,” Fuentes added.
Arandez, a former drug surrenderer, was shot to death by three unidentified suspects wearing bonnets at a repair shop in Barangay Cagay here.
The three armed men alighted from a red car while another suspect served as their driver, police said.
The plate number of the vehicle was captured from the closed-circuit television footage but investigators cannot disclose the details yet due to the ongoing investigation.
“Posible may kaantanan sa iya negosyo sa droga ang iya kamatayon,” a police officer on condition of anonymity said./PN
