YENG Constantino is facing a cybercrime complaint over her controversial 2019 vlog, which chronicled her husband’s “traumatic” experience in a hospital in Siargao.
The singer has since posted bail, but the Philippine Medical Association (PMA) has offered to mediate between the two parties.
Dr. Bu Castro, spokesperson and chairman of PMA’s Commission on Ethics, said they are “willing to mediate” between Constantino and Dr. Esterlina Tan, who has been accused by the singer of having no sense of urgency and concern for her husband.
Castro said in a statement the PMA is “always open to offer its venue for a possible peaceful settlement.”
Constantino issued a public apology in July 2019, days after she was scorned on social media for “doctor shaming” because of the vlog.
Two months later, the singer said she would take a social media hiatus to recover from the heavy bashing she received. (ABS-CBN)
