ILOILO City – Properties estimated to be worth P500,000 went up in smoke after fire charred a grocery store on Calumay Street, Leon, Iloilo.
The blaze totally gutted the LVS Marketing around 6:20 a.m. on Jan. 12, a police report showed.
Responding firefighters tried to put out the fire but it quickly spread to other parts of the establishment. It was not immediately clear what time the Bureau of Fire Protection declared a “fire out.”
Arson investigators have yet to identify the cause and origin of the blaze as of this writing./PN
