BACOLOD City – Some areas here and in Bago City, Negros Occidental will experience a four-hour power interruption for two days, Central Negros Electric Cooperative (Cenenco) announced Sunday.
Jose Taniongon, Ceneco officer-in-charge, said the power outage will start from 5 a.m. until 9 a.m.
on Jan. 28 and 30.
This is due city due to maintenance activities, explained Taniongon, saying that Ceneco wants to ensure reliability of distribution lines to avoid further serious damages that could result to major interruptions.
On Jan. 28, the affected areas are Villa Homes, Buena Park, Glenwood Subd., Villa Angela, Villa Angela Relocation Site, Regent Pearl, River Walk, Helvetia Heights, Savemore, Hi Strip building, Panasiatic Solutions, East Block, Lopue’s East Annex (bowling center), Patria Village, Trinity Christian School, New Government Center (NGC), Lopue’s East Building, Gonzaga Subdivision, Morata’s Photography, Burgos Street (from Circumferential Road to Lopez Jaena), Rio Compound, Chinese Temple, portion of Megaworld (Burgos Entrance).
For the second day, areas that will experience power outage include Sum-ag Substation along Abuanan Road (Sum-ag) to portion of Bago, Barangay Tabunan, Barangay Dulao, Barangay Atipuluhan and, Barangay Abuanan, Sayson Piggery, Quiet Place Resort, GC&C Crusher, Purok Sambag, Purok Cadena de Amor, Purok Rose 1 and 2.
Taniongon advised Ceneco member-consumers in the event of any power interruption, electrical switches should be turned-off for safety reasons.
When electricity supply resumes, please provide allowance of about 10-15 minutes before switching on all electrical appliances and facilities to avoid power surge, he added./PN
