MY JANUARY social media posts, and quotable quotes, may appear to come from nowhere, but often, they are reactions to comments of fans and followers, or the news (like the volcanic activities of Taal, and the subsequent volunteer work.)
Or sometimes, I just want to be positive.
At other times, I react to sexy poses of my friends online.

I am aware of the great mood swings of my online posts.
I very well know that one day, Iām the Palanca Hall of Famer, and the greatest writer of my generation.
And the next, I am this sexy little beast.
This HIV testing advocate, who is provocative; and well, naked and sexy.
Then, I am this wise old man lusting for more life.
But isnāt that the signs of pulsating life right there?
Isnāt that what makes me unpredictable?
And unpredictably delicious?

Plan, and prepare for A.
But be ready for B, just in case.
Or for C, or D surprises.
Be more flexible in 2020.

Kung kasing sexy ako ng mga kaibigan ko,
pornstar sana ako ngayon.
I love my friends!
*
Iām not a needy person.
I just want someone to watch out for me because he loves me.
Thatās not a crime!

This memory, a poem I wrote at Playa Negra in Vieques, Puerto Rico called āPeter Solis Nery and the Boyā:
And in that one moment we were
There together with the sunset
Like we understood that nothing
Can last forever. It was beautiful
And realāwhat the sunset saw
Before it disappeared.

I want to be in a relationship where I always smile.
And where I can always make him smile.
I donāt mind being corny.
*
Another memory from Escambron Beach, Puerto Rico:
The beach, the waves, you, and me, and the sea.
We all change.
We all forget.
But one moment we were there.
We were real.
And no one can take that away from me.

Choose your verbs correctly.
Thereās a big difference between ālivingā and ālovingā your life.
You are your words.

Hindi kalandian mo ang dahilan ng pagputok ng bulkan.
āWag kang paimportante!
Pray. Keep calm, and carry on.

Alam na kung sino ang natatarantang magugunaw na ang mundoā
ang mga hindi nakatikim ng jowa.
