Nissan Navara variant upgrades in other markets

The AT32 is fitted with bespoke all-terrain wheel arch extensions that house the special satin black alloy wheels. These wheels – which feature dual valves for faster and accurate tire pressure adjustments when shifting terrains – are wrapped in new 31.6-inch Nokian tires for better fuel economy and emissions, as well as improved on-road handling.

NISSAN has given the “toughest Navara ever” some minor upgrades.

Nissan Europe general manager for LCV sales and business development Manuel Burdiel said the Nissan Navara Off-Roader AT32 was a “sell-out success and proved incredible popular with adventurers seeking elegance and toughness.”

“We have upgraded the Off-Roader AT32 so it can maintain its position as the ultimate Navara while bringing new efficiency and becoming fully WLTP compliant. It’s the perfect blend of in-car technology, comfort and extreme off-road performance,” he said.

While the refreshed Off-Roader AT32 sees no changes under its hood, it does features some slight changes that improve its drivability and efficiency without compromising its off-road capabilities. For starters, the truck’s underbody shielding is now built with lightweight aluminum, and the shielding’s improved shape ensures better protection of the components underneath.

An optimized all-terrain Bilstein performance suspension is fitted underneath.

This Navara boasts a few safety and driver-assist tech, too, carrying them over from the N-Guard model it was based on. These include hill start assist, hill descent control, intelligent emergency braking, and an intelligent around view monitor. Meanwhile, an electronic lock for the front differential and an air intake snorkel that ups the truck’s maximum wading depth to 800 mm are also available as added goodies.

Like we said, the Nissan Navara Off-Roader AT32 will only be available across Europe, but would you go for this setup if it were sold here in the Philippines? (topgear.com.ph)
