BACOLOD City – A drinking spree turned fatal for a man in Barangay Canlandog, Murcia, Negros Occidental.
The 53-year-old Adjeloden Pama died of hack wounds on the head and neck, a police report showed.
Police identified the suspect as 31-year-old Jonel Cardinal of Barangay Sta. Rosa, Murcia.
According to police investigators, Pama
and Cardinal were having a drinking spree around 10 p.m. on Feb. 9.
The latter then hacked Pama using a bolo for no apparent reason, police said.
It was not immediately established what triggered the altercation.
Cardinal was detained in the lockup facility of the Murcia municipal police station, facing charges./PN
