ILOILO City – Police arrested a woman for paying counterfeit money to a grocery store in Guimbal, Iloilo.
Mailen Omar of Cotobato was brought to the municipal police station.
Omar’s arrest came after store owner Rosita Garillo, 72, reported the suspect to the police, who allegedly tried to buy items using a fake P500 bill.
The suspect was detained, faceing charges for violation of Article 168 of the Revised Penal Code, or Illegal Possession and Use of False Treasury Bank Notes./PN
