BACOLOD City – A man was stabbed to death in Barangay 6, San Carlos City, Negros Occidental.
The 43-year-old Wendell Giganto of Barangay 3, San Carlos City sustained stabbed wounds on the body, a police report showed.
Police identified the suspect as 29-year-old Antonio Cañedo of Barangay Rizal, San Carlos City.
According to police investigators, a heated argument ensued between Cañedo and Giganto around around 12 p.m. on Feb. 22.
This prompted the former to stab Giganto using a bladed weapon, police said.
Giganto was rushed to the San Carlos City Hospital where he was declared “dead on arrival.”
Officers of the San Carlos City police station conducted a manhunt operation against Cañedo, who fled after the incident./PN
