MANILA – Negrense boxer Aston Palicte begins his comeback trial when he clashes against Jonathan Francisco in an eighth round bantamweight bout at the Lagao Gymnasium in General Santos City tonight.
The Bago City, Negros Occidental-native is all prayers to get back on the winning track after blowing his last two matches against WBO world super flyweight champion Kazuto Ioka of Japan and fellow Negrense Renz Rosia.
The 29-year-old Palicte, said in an interview that he treated his two defeats as a “blessing in disguise” to assess himself and correct his mistakes inside the ring.
Palicte said.
Palicte will be entering the ring with an impressive 25-4-1 win-loss-draw ring record (21 KO’s), while Francisco has a 10-14-1 slate (4KO’s)
