ILOILO City – Police nabbed a man engaging in illegal gambling in Barangay Bayuyan, Estancia, Iloilo.
The 41-year-old was Dennie Turbanada of Barangay Amayong, San Dioniso was soliciting bets for the illegal numbers game “bookies” around 12:30 p.m. on March 16, police said.
Recovered from Turbanada’s possession were bet money amounting to P120 and gambling paraphernalia.
He was detained in the custodial facility of the Estancia police station.
Charges for violation of Presidential Decree 1602, which prescribes stiffer penalties for illegal gambling will be filed against the suspect./PN
