4 persons nabbed for violating quarantine

ILOILO City – Police arrested four persons for breaking quarantine rules in Barangay Sta. Monica, City Proper.

Residents Joemarie Nemenzo, 40; Ereneo Villanueva, 32; Jeffrey Solinap, 39; and Francisco Perez, 22, were all taken to Police Station 1.

Police chanced upon them having a drinking spree along the road at 7:40 p.m. on March 23.

The city government recently placed the entire metro under a 26-day “enhanced community quarantine” against coronavirus disease 2019.

All public and private offices, business and commercial establishments shall be closed, but with some exemptions.

A curfew will also be enforced from 8 p.m. to 5 a.m. though there are some exemptions.

No one shall be allowed to go out except in cases of emergency or for the sole purpose of purchasing food, medicines, basic necessities and prime commodities.

Dispensing and transporting liquor are also prohibited during the lockdown period./PN
