ROXAS City – Two residents of Barangay Tanque in this city were nabbed in a drug buy-bust operation.

Police identified them as 22-year-old Carlo Roxas and his 19-year-old niece Jastine Roxas.

Operatives of the Roxas City police station Drug Enforcement Unit staged the entrapment operation that led to the arrest of the suspects on Thursday.

Recovered from the suspects were nine sachets of suspected shabu, P500 marked money, a cellphone, and drug paraphernalia.

Halos tunga sa sako sang semento ang nakuha naton nga aluminum foil sa kilid sang ila balay nga gina gamit sang ila mga parokyano,” Roxas City police station spokesperson, Master Sergeant Ramil Arcangeles told Panay News.

The suspected shabu recovered from the suspects was estimated to be worth of P4,000, Arcangeles said.

“They were using their residence as a drug den and worst, it is just across the barangay hall of Barangay Tanque,” he added.

The suspects were placed under surveillance for several weeks before the entrapment was made.

They were detained in the lockup facility of the Roxas City police station, facing charges for violation of Republic Act 9165, or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002./PN
