BACOLOD City – In Barangay San Miguel, Murcia, Negros Occidental, a 55-year-old man was wounded in a hacking incident.
Resident Allan Nobles was recuperating at the Murcia Health Center. He sustained multiple hack wounds on the head and body, a police report showed.
The suspect was identified as Allan’s 53-year-old brother Joemarie.
Police investigators said without provocation, Joemarie attacked Allan using a bolo around 7:00 p.m. on March 26. It was however not immediately established what the motive in the hacking was.
Officers of the Murcia municipal police station conducted a manhunt operation against the suspect, who fled after the incident./PN
