ILOILO City – Twelve residents of Barangay Dangulaan, Anilao, Iloilo were caught engaging in illegal gambling.
Arrested and detained at the custodial facility of the Anilao police station were:

* Reynaldo Aniversario, 59
* Mariano Bolina, 66
* Leo Gene Vestoso, 39
* Claudio Matutino, 64

* Leizel Agregado, 46
* Jomar Lagreo, 46
* Rex Franco, 39.
According to the police, most of the suspects were recipients of the government’s social amelioration program.
They were caught in the act playing tong-its andmahjong around 2:30 p.m. on April 23, a police report showed.
Confiscated from their possession were P12,755 bet money and decks of playing card.
Charges for violation of Presidential Decree 1602, or the anti-illegal gambling law will be filed against the suspects./PN
