ILOILO City – To ensure social distancing among its clients and prevent the spread of coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19), the Social Security System (SSS) office in Molo district is observing number coding.

According to Amiel Genova, acting senior communications analyst of SSS, Visayas West 2 Division, under this scheme the office entertain clients based on the last digit of their SSS number.

SSS Molo office headed by Leila Ferroris, M.D, set the following appointment schedules for clients based on this number coding:

* Monday – 1 and 2

* Tuesday – 3 and 4

* Wednesday – 5 and 6

* Thursday – 7 and 8

* Friday – 9 and 0

“As of now payment pa man lang gina-accept nga makasulod sa aton office,” said Genova.

The SSS Molo office is visited by an average of 300 clients daily.

The number coding would control the number of clients visiting the office, thereby ensuring physical distancing, Genova stressed.

As for those with inquiries or apply for loans, Genova said, they were being encouraged to do these online or call SSS Molo office cellphone numbers 09557309432 or 09208073231.

Those applying for an SSS number should do it online, too, while those submitting employer’s reports should first call 09557309432.

On the other hand, those filing retirement claims or death claims may drop these into boxes specifically designed for these displayed just outside the SSS Molo office.

Other minimum health safety protocols being enforced by SSS Molo office is the wearing of facemask and body temperature check.

SSS Molo office serves clients from the 1st District of Iloilo (Oton, Tigbauan, Guimbal, Igbaras, Miag-ao, Tubungan, and San Joaquin), those from Leon and Alimodian towns; and those from the Iloilo City districts of Molo and Arevalo./PN
