BACOLOD City – The Permits and Licensing Division (PLD) here will start inspecting the city’s personal care services establishments within this week.
PLD head Stela Rose Rayos said they will assess businesses such as salons, barbershops, massage parlors, sauna, and facial care, among others, to see if they are in compliance with the Department of Trade and Industry’s (DTI) Memorandum Circular No. 20-33 and the Executive Order(EO) No. 43-A issued by Mayor Evelio Leonardia.
Based on the mayor’s EO which was signed on June 17, all personal care establishments shall be allowed to operate in accordance with DTI’s guidelines.
These establishments shall be allowed to operate at 50 percent capacity, the EO added.
The EO also stated that personal care businesses shall implement health standards such as mandatory wearing of face masks, proper physical distancing and regular sanitation schedules and procedures, among others.
They are also required to place floor mats with disinfectants in the entrance of their establishments and to secure thermal scanners and alcohol, among others.
Employees of personal care businesses shall also have no coronavirus disease 2019 symptoms or exposure to patients of the virus./PN
