NATIONAL Basketball Association star Russell Westbrook of the Houston Rockets has tested positive for coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) less than a month before the league restarts its 2019-2020 season at Disney World in Orlando, Florida, United States .
The 31-year-old American point guard announced this on social media on Monday.

“I tested positive for COVID-19 prior to my team’s departure to Orlando. I’m currently feeling well, quarantined and looking forward joining my teammates when I am cleared,” said Westbrook.
Westbrook was one of the three Rockets players who did not join the team in Orlando aside from James Harden and Luc Mbah a Moute.

Rockets head coach Mike D’Antoni told reporters he expects Westbrook to join the team by midway through the week.
Houston already clinched a playoff spot for currently standing sixth place in the Western Conference.
Rockets forward Bruno Caboclo, meanwhile, will not participate in the team’s activities for more than a week after he inadvertently broke the initial quarantine period at Disney World./PN
