MANILA – Antiqueño middle blocker Chard Bin Jan Pon-an is set to take his talents to Adamson University Baby Falcons ahead of the UAAP Season 83 boys volleyball action next year.

The Bugasong, Antique-native is a welcome addition to the Baby Falcons with his experience with the Western Visayas team that placed runner up in the 2019 Palarong Pambansa.

“I believe that I will improve my skills and learnings in playing volleyball at Adamson,” Pon-an said over at Rising Volley PH Facebook page. “I hope to be successful in this sport in five years time.”

Prior to his transfer to the Baby Falcons, the 5-foot-11 Pon-an was a former standout of St. Anthony’s College in Antique under head coach Eddie Yogore.

“I am not surprised that the Adamson noticed him because he is one of my most talented players,” Yogore told Panay News. “Masipag siya sa training and he delivered talaga dun sa regional meets namin at Palarong Pambansa.”

The Baby Falcons are raring to improve on its Season 82 performance, where they were booted out by the University of Santo Tomas Junior Tiger Spikers in the knockout match for the last semifinals seat./PN
