ILOILO City – A couple and their suspected runner were arrested.
An estimated P1.6-million worth of methamphetamine hydrochloride (shabu) was seized from them on Aug. 5 in Barangay Poblacion Norte, Ivisan, Capiz.
Jean Francis Lima, 34, husband Jon Jon Lima, 38, and German Bolarde, 49, were detained at the Ivisan police station.
According to Police Lieutenant Colonel Ricardo Jomuad Jr., Roxas City police chief, his men staged the buy-bust operation targeting the suspects at around 7 p.m.
Shabu weighing 128 grams was confiscated.
Jomuad said the suspects’ operated in Roxas City and parts of Capiz, especially in the 2nd District.
Their supplier, he added, was based in Laguna and courier service was used for deliveries.
“We received information that the husband claimed a package. We placed him under surveillance and arranged a transaction. He told us the item would be released near their house in Ivisan,” said Jomuad.
