BACOLOD City – A man was shot in Barangay Cabug.
Jolito Lambayong – resident of the village – sustained a gunshot wound on the hip, police said.
Tagged suspect was 19-year-old resident Peter Allera.
According to police investigators, the incident happened around 8:15 p.m. on Aug. 9.
Lambayong was sitting on a wooden chair when he got shot by Allera using a homemade shotgun.
Old grudge was believed to be the motive in the incident.
Lambayong was rushed to the Corazon Locsin Montelibano Memorial Regional Hospital in this city for medical treatment.
Responding police officers were able to arrest Allera in Barangay Handumanan. The suspect was detained in the lockup facility of Police Station 9, facing charges./PN
