ILOILO City – A Sangguniang Kabataan (SK) chairman and four others were nabbed for illegal gambling in Barangay Villar, Sibalom, Antique.
Police identified them as Can Regor Hantoc, 24, SK chairman of Barangay Alangan, Sibalom; Mark Paulino, 30; Duxs Tristan Membrido, 18; Jeffrey Melo, 31; and Rey Jun Omallao, 33.
The suspects were caught engaging in illegal spider derby around 5:20 p.m. on Aug. 14, a police report showed.
Confiscated from their possession were two spiders, two tables and P1,154 bet money.
They were taken to the Sibalom police station, facing charges./PN
