MANILA – How did the University of the Philippines (UP) Fighting Maroons recruit cager Crispin John Cansino?

According to Cansino’s agent Charlie Dy during an interview with The Athletes’ Tribune on Monday evening, the six-foot-two guard was never poached by UP from University of Santo Tomas Growling Tigers.

Tinanong ko siya kung saan niya gustong lumipat. Ang sabi niya namimili siya between La Salle, Ateneo and UP,” Dy said.

The manager claimed that he also convinced Cansino to fix his issue with UST men’s basketball team head coach Aldin Ayo.

“Kaso na-drop na niya (raw) lahat ng subjects niya ( sa UST), and (it was) coaches’ and management’s decision na tanggalin siya (from the team),” Dy added./PN
