No more COVID cases in Carles

ILOILO City – There were no more persons infected with coronavirus disease 2019 in the municipality of Carles.

Data from the Department of Health (DOH) Region 6 showed that on Aug. 20 the 14 remaining COVID-19 patients in Carles recovered. These were the following:

* 27-year-old female – Patient No. 277, locally stranded individuals (LSI)

* 24-year-old male – Patient No. 801 (LSI)

* 25-year-old female – Patient No. 802 (LSI)

* 24-year-old male – Patient No. 803 (LSI)

* 29-year-old male – Patient No. 779 (LSI)

* 26-year-old male – Patient No. 758 (LSI)

* 29-year-old male – Patient No. 1068 (LSI)

* 24-year-old male – Patient No. 1067 (LSI)

* 63-year-old female – Patient No. 1149

* 33-year-old male – Patient No. 1566, repatriated overseas Filipino (ROF)

* 26-year-old male – Patient No. 1607 (ROF)              

* 57-year-old female – Patient No. 1762

* 27-year-old female – Patient No. 2048 (LSI)

* 23-year-old female – Patient No. 2246

Mayor Siegfredo Betita urged his constituents to follow preventive measures against COVID-19 so the town could maintain its record of zero active case.

β€œEveryone is continually reminded to practice frequent hand washing, wear facemask and face shield, observe physical distancing and avoid unnecessary travel,” said Betita.

He added that Carles’ Rural Health Unit is further strengthening its disease surveillance, prompt contact tracing and available testing and instituting quarantine and isolation protocols./PN
