Cadiao extends Antique’s modified GCQ status

ILOILO City – The provincial government of Antique remains under “low-risk” modified general community quarantine.

Gov. Rhodora Cadiao announced the extension of the quarantine status through her Sept. 1 Executive Order (EO) No. 21.

“This shall take effect immediately until Sept. 30, unless sooner revoked or extended,” read part of the governor’s directive.

Under her EO, Cadiao ordered the following measures:
1.) Locally stranded individuals (LSIs) and authorized persons outside residence (APORs) coming to Antique from places outside of Panay Island and Guimaras shall:

a.) secure a certificate of acceptance/coordination from the receiving local government unit (LGU)

b.) secure a medical certificate from their place of origin stating that they are not persons under monitoring or person under investigation for coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) and that they do not have any other infectious disease

c.) secure a travel authority from the municipal/city police station of their place of origin

d.) undergo a health risk assessment upon arrival in Antique and mandatory 14-day quarantine at the community isolation facility (CIF) of their receiving municipality

Note for LSIs:

* those symptomatic shall undergo an RT-PCR test at the CIF

* those asymptomatic shall undergo a rapid diagnostic test (RDT) on the seventh day of quarantine
* those positive in the RDT shall undergo a confirmatory reverse transcription-polymerase chain reaction (RT-PCR) test
* those negative in the RDT may be allowed to complete the remaining days of quarantine in their homes

* those asymptomatic may undergo RT-PCR test based on Department of Health (DOH) guidelines.
f.)  LSIs who are senior citizens, pregnant and those with comorbidities or immunodeficiency may undergo the mandatory 14-day home quarantine upon arrival in Antique, provided that their house are compliant with minimum isolation standards of the DOH

2.) For Returning Overseas Filipinos (ROFs), meanwhile, these are the guidelines:
a.) all ROFs shall be assessed, oriented and counseled at their respective municipal quarantine facilities upon arrival in the province
b.) all ROFs in good health with test documents showing negative RT-PCR result for COVID-19 shall not be subjected to another 14-day quarantine by the receiving LGUs

c.) all ROFs are strongly advised to stay at home for seven days upon arrival in Antique and conduct a self-monitoring for signs and symptoms of COVID-19
d.) all ROFs shall notify their respective LGUs in case they manifest signs and symptoms of COVID-19 for appropriate action and health management
Cadiao also said in her directive that all Antiqueños confirmed to have been infected with COVID-19 but are not in the province may return home for quarantine upon coordination with their municipal health office and the provincial inter-agency task force against COVID-19.
Curfew hours, on the other hand, are from 9 p.m. to 4 a.m. Only APORs, essential workers on night shift, persons on medical emergencies and individuals needing urgent legal aid are exempted.  
Based on the Sept. 1 data of the Provincial Health Office, Antique has 46 confirmed cases of COVID-19./PN
