MUSIC veteran Sharon Cuneta laughed off the fresh round of rumors involving her daughter KC Concepcion and the latter’s former boyfriend Piolo Pascual.
In an Instagram post recently, the Megastar shared her reaction to reports circulating online saying KC and Piolo are getting married and are expecting their first child together.
Sharing a video of herself performing a duet with Piolo, Sharon said, “So much fake news coming out.”
“Lots of stuff has been coming out on several SocMed platforms about this boy, my eldest, me. All lies. I DO NOT KNOW WHAT IS OR HAS BEEN GOING ON. NO ONE TELLS ME, & I DON’T ASK,” she added.
Sharon went on: “But I’ll tell you one thing that is TRUE. God knows I love PJ. We have become friends over the years, talked about life & work. His son Inigo has been nothing but respectful & sweet to me. I do not & will not have a problem with Piolo at all in any area of my life or in our family. I love you, PJ. Thank you for your love, respect, & friendship. God bless you always!”
In the comment section, the 54-year-old actress-singer only laughed in response to an Instagram user who shared that she came across these reports online.
Sharon also reiterated that she is totally clueless as to where the rumors are coming from when she told another follower: “Wala rin akong kaalam-alam. As God is my witness.”
Her post came just after KC opened up about her past relationship with Piolo during an Instagram Live broadcast with G3 San Diego.
In the interview, the singer-host admitted that she regretted parting ways with Piolo.
“I regret that we had to end. I think that in any relationship, you really have faith in it and you go into it not thinking that you want to end it. You go into it thinking that you want it,” she said.
However, according to KC, it makes her happy that she and Piolo are on good terms now.
“As with any breakup, you cannot be best friends with an ex. We are civil, we are okay. We had our little quality time in London when we did ‘ASAP’in London and it was a really funny, nice catch-up after everything. He asked if we could talk and without saying too much, we were able to talk a little bit,” she said.
She also shared the lessons she learned from her relationship with Piolo.
“We all go through things in life. Whatever you go through, you will bring into the relationship that you have. So you have to make peace with the things you went through before, before you go into a relationship kasi kung hindi, bitbit mo ‘yun,” she said.
“I think what I learned is you will take with you the things that you have not settled in your life if you’re not honest with your life and your partner… Don’t waste what can be in the long term for something that is so short term.”
KC and Piolo ended their relationship in 2011. (Push)
