MANILA – President Rodrigo Duterte will decide on the fate of the new public transport distancing policy within this week, his spokesperson Harry Roque said.
The Inter-Agency Task Force for the Management of Emerging Infectious Diseases crafted a new recommendation on the transport protocol and it is now up for review of the President, Roque announced.
The Palace spokesperson did not provide details on this new recommendation, which he said was a result of Tuesday’s six-hour meeting among officials and health experts.
Roque said, as of now, the reduced physical distancing policy of 0.75 meters from one meter remains in effect for commuters./PN
