BACOLOD City – Four persons were arrested for illegal cockfighting in Barangay Cabug.
Rolando Macopol, Benjamin Palermo, Joni Delfin, and Elpedio Capasilan were caught around 11:45 a.m. on Sept. 20, a police report showed.
Confiscated from their possession were two game fowls and P1,740 bet money.
The suspects – detained in the lockup cell of Police Station 9 – face charges for violation of Presidential Decree 449, or the Cockfighting Law of 1974./PN
