ILOILO City – Four persons were arrested for illegal gambling in Barangay Gabudipa Poblacion, Patnongon, Antique.
They were residents Felimono Rey Estañol, 33; Jennifer Culminas, 46; Meyna Mondejar, 38; and Edwin Alejo, 40.
They were caught playing the card game tong-its around5:30 p.m. on Sept. 20, a police report showed.
Recovered from their possession were a deck of playing cards and gambling money which amounted to P870.
Detained in the lockup cell of the Patnongon municipal police station, the suspects face charges for violation of Presidential Decree 1602, which prescribes stiffer penalties on illegal gambling./PN
