DOH, OPAV donate PPE to Roxas City COVID lab

ROXAS City – The city government here received personal protective equipment (PPE) for Roxas City Molecular Laboratory from the Department of Health 6 and the Office of Presidential Assistant for the Visayas (OPAV).

On Monday, the regional office of the DOH 6 headed by Regional Director Dr. Marlyn Convocar handed over the donation, which includes 500 pieces of sterile protective suit / surgical gown, medical overboot / shoe cover pair, KN95 mask, medical gloves, protective gown/overall gown, head cover, surgical masks, and face shields. 

“These PPE are necessary for the protection of our personnel inside the RT PCR Laboratory once it becomes operational,” said Mayor Ronnie Dadivas.

Last Sept. 10, the city government also received donations from the OPAV which include PPEs and face masks. 

OPAV Assistant Secretary Anthony Gerard β€œJonji” Gonzales and DOH Region 7 chief pathologist Dr. Mary Jean Loreche personally visited and inspected the city’s testing laboratory and quarantine facility./PN
