ILOILO City – Eight individuals were caught engaging in illegal gambling in Barangay San Miguel, Jordan, Guimaras.
They were Diane Galuno, 55; Rufel Gayas, 31; Orlyn Esmama, 31; Rossnan Asuna, 42; Jason Agudo, 39; Fernando Figueroa, 25; Chris Joe Genialope, 25; Nel John Epetito, 26.
Police Captain Kennith Bermejo, Jordan police chief, said the suspects were caught playing and betting on billiards around 5:15 p.m. on Oct. 1.
Recovered from their possession were eight pieces of billiard cue, two sets of billiard balls and P4,600 bet money.
The suspects were detained in the lockup cell of the municipal police station, facing charges for violating Presidential Decree 1602 that outlaws illegal gambling./PN
