MANILA – Fourteen Iloilo City-based Taekwondo jins showed their wares during the 2020 Smart/MVP Sports Foundation ATP Online Taekwondo Speed Kicking Championships held over the weekend.
From 17 taekwondo jins from the A. Diasnes Gym who participated in the two-day online taekwondo competition, 13 brought home awards – three golds, two silvers and eight bronzes.
Capturing gold medals for the team were Cindy Joy Diasnes in Senior Women category, Djanee Joed Sarria in Junior Men and Aryan Nicole Rangas in Cadet Female.
Taking home silver medals, meanwhile, were Elisha Venice Aguilar in Junior Women and Seth Ryan Templanza in Cadet Male.
Bagging a bronze medal each were Bill Donton III, Kyle Chin, Jan Andrew Gancero and Kean Ryth Bornazal in Cadet Male, Jessery Lucas Frantilla and Aldriene Earl Horlador in Junior Men, and Markishi Anthonette Ting and Artha Camille Tanagon in Cadet Female.
Moreover, Elizabeth Marie Borres and Sheriemei Anne Hojilla in Cadet Female, Alfie Diasnes in Senior Men and Sophia Marie Tungala in Junior Female reached the quarterfinals and finals round
From Iloilo MVP Gym stable, on the other hand, Sophia Grace Go won bronze in the Cadet Female while Akimeh Demavivas ended at fifth spot in her Cadet Female event./PN
