KALIBO, Aklan – The stage is set for the Miss Universe Philippines 2020 pageant on Oct. 25 in Baguio City.
Four lasses from Western Visayas are among the contestants vying for the prestigious title – which would give them the chance to compete in the Miss Universe pageant later this year.
They are Christelle Anjali Abello (Aklan), Joecel Marie Robenta (Antique), Rabiya Mateo (Iloilo City), and Kim Chi Crizaldo (Iloilo province).

The preliminary interview is on Oct. 21 while the national costume, swimsuit and evening gown preliminaries will be on Oct. 23.
The grand finale on Oct. 25 will have no live audience and with limited production staff. Gazini Christiana Jordi Ganados, Miss Universe Philippines in 2019, will crown her successor.
The pageant is being supervised by former Miss Universe Philippines titleholder Shamcey Supsup-Lee.
From 2010 to 2019, the country produced two Miss Universe titlists – Catriona Elisa Magnayon Gray in 2018 and Pia Alonzo Wurtzbach in 2015.
