‘Nasaan ang Pangulo?’ Rody monitors ‘Rolly’ from Davao City – spox

MANILA – Despite being in Davao City, President Rodrigo Duterte is closely monitoring the track of Typhoon “Rolly,” which has battered parts of Southern Luzon on Sunday morning, said his spokesperson Harry Roque.

During Sunday’s situation briefing, Roque said President Duterte is aware of the situation around the country and is scheduled to fly back to Manila on Tuesday, Nov. 3.

Nasaan ang Pangulo” hashtag trended online following Duterte’s absence during Roque’s presser in Quezon City.

Roque added that President Duterte have also relayed his orders to the Armed Forces of the Philippines and the National Disaster Risk Reduction Management Council to provide disaster response in areas affected by the typhoon.

The Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA) has lifted the tropical cyclone warning signal No. 5 on Sunday noon after “Rolly” weakened to a typhoon from its super typhoon status./PN
