KALIBO, Aklan – A truck driver faces a charge for violation of the Comprehensive Firearms and Ammunition Regulation Act.
Policemen in Barangay Tabangka, Numancia, Aklan recovered from 40-year-old Ramon Victoriano of Barangay Sugnod, Malinao, Aklan a .38 revolver with six bullets.
It was by chance that the cops caught Victoriano. They were actually in the area for a drug buy-bust operation but the suspect’s truck caught their attention; it was fully loaded with timber.
The police stopped the truck and inspected it. Victoriano failed to present pertinent documents for his gun and even for the transport of the timber.
The truck driver was taken to the Numancia police station./PN
