ILOILO City – For possessing unlicensed gun, a tricycle driver was arrested in Barangay Pungtod, Cabatuan, Iloilo.
A .38 revolver and a 12-gauge shotgun loaded with live bullets were seized from Alie Grate, 38, a resident of the village, a police report showed.
Grate failed to presentpertinent papers showing legal ownership of the weapon, the report added.
Armed with a search warrant, policemen of Cabatuan carried out Grate’s apprehension around 8:30 a.m. on Dec. 11.
The suspect was detained in the lockup cell of the municipal police station, facing charges for violation of Republic Act 10591, or the Comprehensive Firearms and Ammunition Regulation Act./PN
