Boutique owner shot to death outside store

BACOLOD City – A boutique owner was fatally shot by unidentified motorcycle-riding assassins on Rizal Street, Barangay 9, Kabankalan City, Negros Occidental.

Leo Porras, resident of Barangay Hilamonan, Kabankalan City, succumbed to multiple gunshot wounds, a police report showed.

From what the Kabankalan police gathered so far, the shooting happened around 6:30 p.m. on Dec. 11.

The 30-year-old owner of Jhe’s Boutique and Cosmetics was hauling his stocks outside his store when peppered with bullets by the gunmen.

Police investigators have yet to identify the suspects, who fled.

Citing initial investigation, police said the gunmen used a black Yamaha motorcycle.

Porras was rushed to the Holy Mother of Mercy Hospital in Kabankalan City but the attending physician pronounced him “dead on arrival.”   

Five spent bullets of a .45-caliber gun were recovered from the crime scene. /PN
